As I mentioned in this post, I got a little over zealous with my lesson planning. I ended up making a ridiculous number of coloring pages. I am sure we will find uses for them throughout the holiday season, though. It’s a good thing that these are done nice and early.
We will be learning about December holidays and Christmas celebrations all over the world in our next unit. Of course, being currently in Hawaii, we will discuss how Christmas is celebrated here. I specifically created this coloring page because it is sometimes cumbersome to find a warm-weather Christmas coloring page, tropical holiday worksheet, or island imagery in general. I like to provide relevant illustrations (where I can) for my kids so sometimes I end up just making them myself.
This was one of those times. It stood to reason that some of you might also be able to find little lulls of time in which a nice coloring page would fit in.
When I find a time when I need to pull away or give the kiddos some relaxation time, I find coloring pages to be very useful. We often use coloring as a good muscle warm-up before any handwriting practice. Anyway, you can download a copy of the Mele Kalikimaka Coloring Page for free down below.
