Earth Day Coloring Page

Last year, I had the family come along with me for a community service project we did with Plant A Tree Hawaii and it was incredible. I volunteer with a group of middle school-aged kids and this was where they decided to impact their community. I wasn’t too sure about my little ones keeping up with the pace but they jumped right in there with us. Our whole group planted over 200 trees that sweaty, muddy afternoon and we still all remember it fondly.

This year, my kiddos will be selecting their own way of impacting their community and contributing to the earth and community in a new way. I cannot wait to hear the ideas they come up with. We’ll also be following up and visiting the trees we planted last year. A few other ways to celebrate our planet or plan to protect it are below.

  • Make an Earth Day Pledge together in which you talk about and plan ways that you’ll preserve and protect from now on.
  • Instead of trowing out banged up markers and markers, transform dried up markers into liquid watercolors , and old broken crayons into candles.
  • Use the below coloring page on your tablet instead of printing it out. If you print it, use old misprints or scratch paper.
  • Check out this Earth Day Reading List for Littles
  • Read The History of Earth Day together popcorn-style for historical facts and more ideas to conserve and use resources more wisely.
  • Tell others about the work you’re doing and the impacts we are making on the planet.
